One Dead, One Critical In Beltway Crash: Report Police closed a portion of the Capital Beltway Tuesday night, May 17, to investigate a serious crash that left one person dead and another seriously injured.  Virginia State Police in Tysons said several cars crashed on the inner loop of I-495 near Chain Bridge Road just after 10 p.m., NBC4 reports.  Paramedics rushed one person to the hospital and another person who declared dead in the pile-up. Police didn't release any information on those people.  Investigators closed down all lanes of the inner loop just after Leesburg Pike as they tried to make sense of what happened. …
