A substitute teacher at Glen Burnie High School is facing charges after being caught with a loaded gun on Friday afternoon, police say. Shortly before dismissal on Friday, Oct. 6, an Anne Arundel County Police officer assigned to the school was notified by administrators that a backpack with a handgun was found unattended in a classroom, which had been taken to the office. CASE: FBI Names Killer Of Pamela Conyers 52 Years After Her Murder
A break has been made in the murder of a Maryland teen that went cold over 50 years ago. Through investigative genetic genealogy, police have identified Forrest Clude Williams III as the suspect believed to be behind the murder of 16-year-old Pamela Conyers in 1970, authorities announced during a press conference held on Friday, March 10 . Maryland HS Briefly Evacuated, Students Fall Ill From Odor, Report States
A high school building in Maryland was temporarily evacuated on Tuesday morning when several students fell ill, according to a WBAL report. Glen Burnie High School Principal Kevin Carr sent a letter to parents advising that several students were treated at the health office and were taken to area hospitals as a precaution for evaluation, while the building was temporarily evacuated and then safely reopened a few minutes later, the outlet states. Bloody Student Fight In At Glen Burnie High School Leaves One Slashed By Knife
A 17-year-old high school student has been charged after cutting another student at Glen Burnie High School, authorities say. A School Resource Officer arrested and charged the student after they attacked the victim with a small pocket knife around 1:15 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 12, according to Anne Arundel County police. The victim was slashed across the upper body by the Pasadena teen during the fight and suffered minor injuries. No further information has been released at this time.

NSA Contractor, Jacob Nicodemi Of Anne Arundel County, Dies At 23
A 23-year-old contractor with the National Security Agency has passed away in Glen Burnie. Jacob Alexander Nicodemi, affectionately known as "Biggs," died on Dec. 23, of unknown causes. Nicodemi was born in Takoma Park to Michael Scott and Tamar Sue (Warren Nicodemi) and was pursuing a bachelor's degree in Homeland Security at the University of Maryland Global Campus. Previously, he had received two Associate of Arts Degrees from Anne Arundel Community College.
