Virginia Man Slain Days After Daughter Dies In I-95 Crash Ciera Berry's family had to do the unthinkable recently and begin planning the 28-year-old, mother of nine's funeral after she died in a fiery car crash. Less than a week later, they were struck with another tragedy.  Berry, of Triangle, died when her Nissan clipped another car on Interstate 95 while changing lanes on May 9. The impact sent her car careening into another and then off the road.  Witnesses pulled her passenger out of the vehicle, but Berry was trapped inside the burning car. Virginia Man Shot, Injured At Motel 6 In Prince William County: Police One man is in the hospital and a suspect is in police custody following a shooting at a motel in Prince William County, authorities said.  Police responded to the shooting at the Motel 6 in Dumfries around 8 p.m. on Monday, May 9, Prince William County Police said on Twitter.   Upon arrival, officers found an adult male suffering from non-life-threatening injuries. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment, police said.  A suspect was also taken into custody. The investigation is ongoing but police believe this was an isolated incident.

Michael Arthur, of Dumfries, was hospitalized with gunshot wounds suffered at during an argument in the parking lot of Somerset Pointe Apartments in Gainesville around 1 a.m., county police said.
