A former Calvert County sheriff's deputy has been sentenced after admitting to drinking, driving, and crashing his patrol vehicle earlier this year, the state attorney's office announced.
Jermaine Parvell Mason, 40, of Prince Frederick, pleaded guilty last month to driving while impaired by alcohol as a subsequent offender following a crash in January that left the other driver with serious injuries.

A Pennsylvania woman on parole for killing a firefighter was arrested on the run in Maryland, according to the US Marshals.
Khanyae Kendall, 23, of Harrisburg, pleaded guilty to killing Denny Devoe while he was on-duty in 2017, according to US Marshal Martin J. Pane and court records.
Kendall was driving a stolen vehicle under the influence at the time of the fatal crash, court records show.
She was sentenced to a prison term of five to 12 years, but on Mar. 10, 2022, she was released under the supervision of the Pennsylvania Board of Probation and Parole, according to US Marshal Pane. …
