2 Charged With Murder After Shooting Of Prince George’s County Man: Police
Two suspects have been charged with murder after the shooting of a 31-year-old man in Prince George’s County, police announced Monday, March 25.
Wardell Holland III, 44, and Shaquita Stewart, 41, both of Suitland, were charged with second-degree murder, PGPD said. Stewart is also charged with first-degree murder and accessory after the fact.
The charges stem from the shooting of Donnell Tyler, who was found wounded from gunfire in a parking lot as police responded to the 4600 block of Silver Hill Road around 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 21.

Police have identified and obtained an arrest warrant for one of the two men believed to be connected to last weekend's deadly shooting of a Prince George’s County woman.
Raheem Hawkins-Boseman, 22, of Silver Spring, was charged on an arrest warrant with first-degree murder, the PGPD said Friday, March 22.
The charges come following the shooting of Jessica Somerville, 27, of Suitland, who was found suffering from a gunshot wound in a parking lot on the 5800 block of Silver Hill Road in District Heights around 2:15 a.m. Sunday, March 17.

Hagerstown native Carlos Guardado-Eagle, 22, was sentenced to 10 years in prison, followed by three years of supervised release, for a series of armed carjackings and an attempt that was thwarted back in 2022.

Maryland Scammers Accused Of Stealing $5M In Checks From The Mail: Feds
A group of five from Maryland has been indicted by a federal grand jury in connection to an alleged multi-million dollar stolen check scam in the region.
On Monday, authorities announced that five people - all from Prince George's County - will face charges for a fraud scheme that saw them take more than 600 checks with a face value greater than $5 million.
