Baltimore SWAT Officer Killed In I-695 Crash Anthony Ward, a member of the Baltimore Police Department's SWAT team, was killed in a car accident. The department announced Ward's death late Saturday, April 20.  While police did not provide further details, Maryland State Police said Ward, 36, of Rosedale, rear-ended a Ford tow truck on the inner loop of I-695 around 4:30 p.m. just before the Jones Falls Expressway.
