Frank Wycheck Posthumously Diagnosed With Stage Three CTE Frank Wycheck, a Philadelphia native and Maryland Terrapin known for one of the most iconic plays in NFL history, had a severe form of chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE) when he died more than a year ago, his family said.
