One deadly encounter ended almost as quickly as it began in DC, where police say a Virginia man was arrested at the scene after a fatal shooting in Northwest.
Alexandria resident Jeremiah Greene, 21, was taken into custody Wednesday night, Aug. 5, in the 2500 block of 41st Street NW following a brief murder investigation, according to the Metropolitan Police Department.
Officers responded to the block around 7:58 p.m. for reports of a shooting and found an adult man suffering from gunshot wounds.

Beau Brattain, 9, was collecting sand near Bimini Cove in the Bahamas on Tuesday, July 28, when six dogs escaped and attacked him, according to police.
