New details have been released by the Charles County Sheriff's Office after a 38-year-old Waldorf man was killed in a crash involving a dump truck on Wednesday afternoon. Ricky Dontaye Wilson has been identified by investigators as the person who was pronounced dead at the scene after being struck by the truck while crossing the street outside of a crosswalk. A pedestrian was killed in a crash involving a dump truck in Charles County on Wednesday afternoon. Members of the sheriff's office responded to a stretch of Middletown Road before 5 p.m. on Sept. 4, where there was a reported fatal crash in Waldorf. According to the Charles County Sheriff's Office, "the pedestrian appears to be in his 30s." No other details were initially released by investigators.
