A suspicious person purportedly packing a handgun near a few schools in Montgomery County has caused alarm for some in the area. At around 9 a.m. on Friday morning, Wheaton High School and the Thomas Edison High School of Technology were ordered to shelter in place and were later later locked down amid the investigation into the armed man. Escapee Back In Custody After Going Rogue En Route To Maryland Detention Center, Police Say
William Raynard Herold is back in custody less than two hours after he escaped in Annapolis while being transported to a detention center, police confirmed. Shortly before noon on Thursday, July 11, an alert was issued by the Annapolis Police Department advising that officers, state police, and a police helicopter were hunting for the wanted 22-year-old man, who made his way to a wooded area near the Annapolis Exchange.
