A wanted man accused of opening fire on a victim in Maryland earlier this year has been captured, authorities said.
On Friday, Aug. 22, detectives with the Charles County Sheriff’s Office and the US Marshals Fugitive Task Force tracked down Earl Tyree Porter, 30, of Waldorf, in the 3000 block of Gallery Place, following a months-long investigation into a reported shooting.
Investigators said Porter was wanted in connection with an April 14 shooting on October Place, where a man was shot multiple times in the chest, but survived his injuries.

The Little League World Series is in town, and a man is behind bars for allegedly making threats targeting the event after being sent home from his job at a private security firm, according to reports.
Isaiah Randall, 20, was sent home from work this week after sending his supervisor that they - Securitas, the company providing security at the World Series - "better have heavy security after the (expletive) you pulled today, because I will be back," after he was ordered off the job, police said.

One man is behind bars and another is on the run after a Maryland driver was shot and crashed into a townhouse earlier this week, police said.
Demari Howard Brown, 20, of Montgomery Village, was arrested Thursday, May 1 by the US Marshals Fugitive Task Force, days after Henry Krishawn Gilbert, 20, was found shot behind the wheel of a wrecked car on Brookridge Court.
Gilbert’s car slammed into a townhouse just before 6 p.m. Saturday, April 26, after he was shot. The Montgomery Village resident was rushed to the hospital, where he died a short time later, Montgomery County Police said.
