Lifeguards Save Young Girl's Life At Community Pool In Maryland With Swift CPR Fast-acting lifeguards are being credited for saving a young girl's life after she stopped breathing at a community pool in Maryland on Monday night.  The Anne Arundel County Fire Department received a 911 call at approximately 7:30 p.m. on June 10 from the Whittier Community Pool in Severna Park, where a girl was pulled from the water by on-duty lifeguards and was not breathing.
