The US Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service said Saturday, Oct. 25, that Hormel Foods Corporation is recalling about 4,874,815 pounds of ready-to-eat frozen chicken products distributed to hotel, restaurant, and institutional customers nationwide. Pork Product Sold Nationwide At Aldi May Be Contaminated With Metals Federal officials have issued a public health alert over a ready-to-eat pork product sold  across the country that may be contaminated with pieces of metal. The product was shipped to Aldi supermarkets nationwide. The US Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced the alert after the producer reported possible contamination due to damaged equipment discovered during routine process checks. Frozen Chicken Product Recalled Over Metal Contamination A popular frozen chicken product being recalled due to reports of metal contamination.  Nearly 25,000 pounds of the taquitos may harm consumers, including causing injuries. The US Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced that Bestway Sandwiches Inc., a Valencia, California company, is recalling 20-ounce cartons of “Casa Mamita Chicken & Cheese Taquitos.”  These products were produced on July 3, 2024, and Sept. 25, 2024, and have “Best By” dates of 07/03/25 and 09/25/25 printed on the bottom panel.  They were shipped to select ALDI …
