19 Women Secretly Recorded In F&M Dorm Bathroom, Student Sentenced: DA
A Franklin & Marshall College student who secretly recorded 19 nude women in a dorm bathroom has been sentenced to jail and probation, prosecutors announced Friday, Oct. 3.
John James Riley, 20, of York Township, was sentenced to eight to 23 months in county jail, followed by nine years of probation, according to the Lancaster County District Attorney's Office. Judge Dennis Reinaker handed down the sentence on Tuesday, Oct. 1.

A Maryland man is accused of firing two rounds at a woman as she sat in her car in Lancaster, police announced.
David Terrell Porter Jr., 29, of Bowie, Maryland, allegedly approached the victim shortly after midnight on Sunday, June 29, as she sat in the driver’s seat of her vehicle in the first block of Caroline Street, according to the Lancaster City Bureau of Police.
Porter is accused of firing a gun twice into the car, with both rounds striking the driver’s side of the vehicle, investigators said. The woman was not injured.

The cabin door of a small plane popped open just seconds into takeoff, causing it to “shake” and ultimately crash into a retirement community near Lancaster Airport, federal investigators said in a preliminary report released on Thursday, April 17.
The crash happened on Sunday, March 9 around 2:30 p.m., when a 1981 Beechcraft Bonanza took off from Lancaster Airport en route to Springfield, Ohio. All five people onboard survived — but two, including the pilot, suffered serious injuries.
