Rabies Alert Issued After Another Raccoon Tests Positive For Virus In Maryland Neighborhood A fresh alert has been issued in Harford County after another raccoon tested positive for rabies. The Harford County Health Department issued an alert cautioning that on Monday that, the agency received confirmation from the Maryland Department of Health that a raccoon tested positive for the virus in Forest Hill. While the raccoon was found near the 2200 block of Melrose Lane, and may have exposed other people or pets in the surrounding area, they said.
