The Lexington Park fugitive is back behind bars after cutting off his ankle monitor, fleeing from deputies, and winding up in handcuffs following a crash, according to the St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office.

Manhunt Underway After Man Escapes ICE Custody In Virginia, Police Say
A convicted man is on the run after escaping from federal custody in Virginia, authorities said.
An alert was issued after Kelvin Josue Reyes Bonilla, 22, of El Salvador, slipped away from ICE officers on the evening of Monday, Oct. 27, near the Walmart in Bedford, according to the Bedford Police Department.
Bonilla, who was convicted of misdemeanor assault and battery in Campbell County, was last seen wearing a red shirt, camouflage gym shorts, and black socks with inmate slides, police said.
At the time of his escape, he was still wearing a belly chain and handcuffs, officials added.

'Cut And Run' Maryland Man Caught After Snipping Off GPS Monitor, Fleeing Before Trial
A Southern Maryland man who snipped off his ankle monitor and disappeared while awaiting trial has been caught, authorities said.
Andrew Phillip Nelson, 29, of Hollywood, was apprehended without incident on Wednesday, May 28, in Mechanicsville, according to the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office.
Nelson had been on the run since April 21, when deputies responded to a tampering alert from his GPS monitoring device in the 43000 block of Saint Johns Road in Hollywood.
When they got there, they found the device ditched—and no sign of Nelson.

An alert was issued by the St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office on Tuesday, Aug. 6, as they seek the public's assistance in tracking down Derrick Clifton Marshall, 45, who pulled a fast one and is now wanted for escape.
