Emanuel Correia won the seven-figure prize for playing the "300X" game, a $30 scratch-off ticket. 5-Year-Old Boy Remains In Critical Condition After Near Drowning In Haddam A 5-year-old boy who was pulled from the Connecticut River in Middlesex County this weekend remained in critical condition a day later, authorities said. Police were called to a stretch of the river near Landing Road in Haddam on Saturday afternoon, Oct. 26, when the boy and a man fell from a kayak into the water, the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection said. Ansonia Club Shooting Sends 2 To Hospital, 1 In Critical Condition Connecticut police are still trying to piece together what led up to a shooting at a New Haven nightclub that left one man clinging to life, authorities said. Man Moved Person From Wrecked Car In Wolcott Rather Than Take Him To Hospital; He Died: Cops A Connecticut man is facing several felonies after police said he crashed his car, fatally wounding his passenger, and then moved the victim to a friend's car rather than get help earlier this year in New Haven County. Greenwich Filmmakers Up For Emmy For Documentary On ABC Journalist Nearly Killed In Iraq Two young Connecticut filmmakers have made it to the finals for a Student Emmy for their documentary on ABC journalist Bob Woodruff, who nearly died covering the war in Iraq and his work to help troops for suffered the same fate as him.
