Some motorists were held up on Wednesday afternoon in Montgomery County when a dump truck overturned and spilled debris into a busy roadway. Fourth District units were called at around 2 p.m. on Oct. 9 to a stretch of Layhill Road near Norbeck Road, which led to delays for some travelers heading through the area in the area of Aspen Hill. An investigation has been launched following a triple fatal crash involving a senior-living assisted living facility bus and dump truck in Charles County, state police say. Shortly before 8 a.m. on Friday morning, police say the bus was heading west on Port Tobacco Road in Nanjemoy, when for unknown reasons, the driver lost control and struck the dump truck, which was heading east, head-on. A pedestrian was killed in a crash involving a dump truck in Charles County on Wednesday afternoon. Members of the sheriff's office responded to a stretch of Middletown Road before 5 p.m. on Sept. 4, where there was a reported fatal crash in Waldorf. According to the Charles County Sheriff's Office, "the pedestrian appears to be in his 30s." No other details were initially released by investigators. Traffic has cleared up after crash involving a dump truck temporarily shut down the northbound lanes of I-95 in Prince George's County on Tuesday morning.
