The University of Virginia faced its second lockdown this week after reports of a knife-wielding attacker near campus, officials said. On Thursday, Feb. 27, UVA Police issued an emergency alert about an active attacker with a knife near 100 Emmet St. S., across from Alumni Hall. The suspect was initially described as a white man wearing a red hoodie and blue sweatpants. Later updates described him wearing a white T-shirt, blue sweatpants, and white shoes.
