Threatening Video Causes Alarm For School Officials In Maryland: Sheriff Alarm bells were sounded for some school administrators when a video of a middle school student making purported threats made the rounds in Charles County. Shortly after 10 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 15, an officer assigned to the Benjamin Stoddert Middle School in Waldorf was alerted of a student who was showing video of themselves to other students holding what appeared to be a firearm. Maryland Middle School Student Caught Packing Loaded Handgun In Lunchbox, Sheriff Says A middle school student had a little too much iron with his school lunch on Wednesday afternoon in Charles County, leading to the recovery of a handgun, according to the sheriff's office. Administrators at the Benjamin Stoddert Middle School were alerted shortly after 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon about a student who was possibly in possession of a gun inside the building. The School Resource Officer assigned to the building was notified, identified and located the student, who was found to be in possession of a loaded handgun in their lunchbox. No threats were made.
