Shortly after 9:30 p.m. on Sunday night, members of the Anne Arundel County Police Department were called to the area of Ritchie Highway South at the eastbound on-ramp of I-695, where they found 35-year-old Edward Broseker, Jr. suffering from critical wounds.
He was pronounced dead at the scene by first responders from the Anne Arundel Fire Department.
Following his death, there has been an outpouring of support and tributes for Broseker, who leaves behind a young son.
"Those of you that know Eddie know he was the life of the party but most importantly he was an amazing father," organizers of a GoFundMe wrote. "Eddie has left behind his son Landyn and his mother Jordyn, his sister’s Shelly (and) Brittany and his niece Kaylee (and) nephew Brandon."
Anyone who wants to donate to "properly send Eddie home to his final resting place" can do so here.
"He has left behind his family and many people that genuinely love and cared about him. All donations will go towards Eddie’s cremation and celebration of life.
"All remaining donations after cremation will go towards Eddie’s son Landyn who he loved more than anything in this world."
