Students Charged In Strong-Armed Robbery At Mattawoman Middle School, Sheriff Says Three middle school students are facing charges after allegedly stealing a name-brand ski mask from a fellow student during dismissal, authorities announced. The incident happened on Nov. 18 at Mattawoman Middle School in Charles County, where investigators say three students, all 13 years old, approached another student and forcibly took their mask. Student Arrested For Threatening Violence At Maryland High School, Sheriff Says A teen is facing charges following a potentially scary situation that played out at a Charles County high school on Tuesday, according to the sheriff's office. On Nov. 19, an SRO at Henry E. Lackey High School was advised about a student who was yelling in the hallways that he was going to bring a weapon to school to harm another student. According to officials, the School Resource Officer was able to locate the student in question, contacted their guardians and followed up with a home visit. Maryland Middle School Student Caught Packing Loaded Handgun In Lunchbox, Sheriff Says A middle school student had a little too much iron with his school lunch on Wednesday afternoon in Charles County, leading to the recovery of a handgun, according to the sheriff's office. Administrators at the Benjamin Stoddert Middle School were alerted shortly after 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon about a student who was possibly in possession of a gun inside the building.
