Gusty Winds, Possible Snow Heading Toward Maryland, Virginia, Forecasters Caution Forecasters are cautioning that some wild weather may be moving through the DMV region through the weekend as the area braces for possible snow storms in parts of the area. A "Special Weather Statement" was issued by the National Weather Service advising that wind gusts possibly approaching 50 mph may be on the way on Wednesday night, bringing with it a strong cold front and possibly a taste of winter weather in the mountains. Motorcyclist Killed 'Having Fun, Doing What He Loved' In Prince George's County The son of popular musician Donnel Floyd, Sr. has been identified as the 40-year-old man who was killed in a motorcycle crash on Tuesday afternoon in Prince George's County. Officers were called at around 1 p.m. on Sept. 10 to investigate a reported motorcyclist down in Cheverly, where they found Donnell Floyd, Jr. suffering from critical injuries. Investigators say that Floyd was riding through the intersection of Landover Road and Cheverly Avenue when Floyd's motorcycle collided with an SUV.
