The man implicated in the murder of 26-year-old tech CEO Pava LaPere will spend the rest of his life behind bars after admitting to other crimes, the Baltimore City State's Attorney's Office announced on Monday. Driver Who Dragged Police Officer During Maryland Traffic Stop Gets Max Prison Sentence
The man who seriously injured a Baltimore Police officer he dragged for several blocks while he was hanging on to his vehicle was handed a harsh sentence, authorities announced on Wednesday. Joseph Daniel Black, who dragged Sgt. Kenneth Ramberg during a vehicle stop in 2022 has been sentenced to 10 years in prison, the maximum sentenced allowed by law. Black was convicted of second-degree assault at a re-trial in June following a hung jury in December 2023 at his initial trial.
