Alcohol is believed to have been a factor for the pedestrian killed in an overnight Calvert County crash that left an unknown man dead at an area hospital, according to the sheriff's office. Shortly after 8 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 12, deputies were called to the area of northbound Solomons Island Road and Church Street in Prince Frederick, where there was a reported crash involving a pedestrian who was down. Speed and alcohol may have been a factor in a fatal single-vehicle rollover crash that claimed the life of a 64-year-old Baltimore man in Charlotte Hall, officials say. Deputies from the St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office were called at approximately 7 p.m. on Sept. 1 to investigate a reported crash in the center median in the area of Route 5 and Oak Station Drive.
