Three Admit To Mistakenly Shooting Father, Son Heading To WWE Show In Northeast DC: Feds Three men who shot a father and his 14-year-old son waiting to head to a WWE wrestling event in Northeast DC more than five years ago have admitted to their roles in the mistaken hit, federal authorities announced. District residents Jamal Matthews, Darnell Savoy, and Stefon Freshley pleaded guilty over the weekend to the Dec. 28, 2018 shooting of two people in the Clay Terrace neighborhood who were innocent bystanders. He was 54 years old. Darren, of Hamilton, NJ, grew up playing football as a quarterback in Mays Landing and was All-State in football at Oakcrest High School. He went on to play college football at the University of Maryland, graduating with a degree in criminal justice.
