A student at a Charles County middle school will avoid any criminal charges due to his age after allegedly making threats of violence, according to the sheriff's office. Last week, an SRO at Milton Somers Middle School in La Plata was tipped off about comments a student made threatening violence toward the building. School administrators and parents alike in Anne Arundel County are up in arms after a “disturbing video” filled with bigotry and biased language was airdropped to students at an area high school. Students in Charles County did not make it easy for the police officers assigned to their buildings on Thursday. A School Resource Officer (SRO) at Thomas Stone High School was assaulted shortly before 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 2, as he attempted to break up a group of students who were threatening physical harm to another teen.
