A Maryland man who used a bit of subterfuge before stealing a rideshare vehicle in Southeast DC while dragging his driver is heading to prison, authorities announced. Oxon Hill native Derrick Teeter, 23, was sentenced to 84 months in prison for a carjacking in the summer of 2022 after he duped his driver while playing sick before stealing his ride, officials say. Two Maryland men who conspired to kidnap and rob a Virginia man have been indicted in DC and face criminal charges, federal authorities announced. Police are investigating a robbery involving four armed suspects at a parking garage in Montgomery County. It happened at a garage on the 11800 block of Grand Park Avenue around 10:45 p.m. Thursday, April 4, Montgomery County police told Daily Voice. A man and woman were walking to their car when they were approached by four suspects in a vehicle.
