Pedestrian Death Toll Rises After Construction Worker Hit By Car On Dangerous Maryland Highway Another pedestrian has died after being hit by a car on Indian Head Highway in Fort Washington, authorities confirm.  Huerta Melendez, 56, was fatally struck by a car around 11 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 11 while working on a roadway construction site on Indian Head Highway near Kerby Hill Road after a vehicle drove through a closed section of roadway, according to Prince George's County police. 18-Year-Old Bicyclist Killed By Car In Bethesda An 18-year-old bicyclist was killed after being struck by a car in Bethesda this week, reports NBC Washington.  The cyclist was struck on Old Georgetown Road near the Wildwood Shopping Center after apparently cycling into the roadway for unknown reasons around 4 p.m., Wednesday, June 1, the outlet reports.
