A Newburg man is behind bars after allegedly pointing a gun at a loaded school bus full of students near Waverly Place earlier this fall, according to the Charles County Sheriff’s Office. A minor has been accused of assaulting and sexually offending a student at a Charles County middle school, the sheriff's office announced. This week, a School Resource Officer assigned to the Piccowaxen Middle School charged a juvenile dating back to an incident that played out on Wednesday, May 31. An investigation has been launched by the Charles County Sheriff’s Office after a high school student was found semi-conscious after potentially ingesting an edible laced with fentanyl.
