Shortly before 4:30 p.m. on May 15, DC Fire and EMS personnel were called to the 3600 block of New York Avenue NE to investigate reports of a person who had been struck by a train. Man Arrested After Woman Found Dead In Northeast DC Hotel Room, Police Say A 59-year-old man has been arrested in DC after a woman's body was found in an area hotel room, according to the Metropolitan Police Department. William Barrett has been arrested and charged with the murder of Romaine Maddox, 36, who was found dead inside the Ivy City Hotel on Friday morning, officials say. Both Barrett and Maddox are from Northeast DC. It is believed that the two knew each other.
