Neighbors in St. Mary's County reportedly gave a helping hand to firefighters overnight when a blaze broke out in a Mechanicsville home. First responders were called to the 40300 block of Wolfe Drive, when a fire broke out in the second floor of a residence, with flames rapidly spreading. All occupants inside a St. Mary's County home were able to escape a two-alarm fire that broke out in Chaptico on Monday morning, according to officials.
