Rapist Arrested 23 Years Later, Police In Maryland Say
Police in Montgomery County are fearful there may be more victims after arresting a Prince George's County man for a rape 23 years ago, authorities announced.
On Wednesday, Sept. 6, James Lorenzo Greene, 47, was taken into custody decades after an alleged rape and robbery in July 2000.
According to a spokesperson from the Montgomery County Department of Police, shortly before 2 a.m. on July 26, 2000, two victims were walking along Montgomery Village Avenue when they were approached by Greene, who was brandishing a handgun.

Several people have been charged in connection to the robbery of an AT&T store in Rockville, authorities say.
Jalonte Malik Cole, 27, Sammie David Smith, 28, and Rayvon Marquis Drayton, 25, are accused of the armed robbery of the store in the 12000 block of Rockville Pike that occurred Thursday, Aug.18, according to Montgomery County Police.

Two teenagers will be tried as adults for their alleged roles in connection with the murder of Taon Lamont Cline, 20, last month, authorities announced
Malik Hney, 15, of Kensington, and Justin Acosta, 14, of Germantown were both charged with first-degree murder in Cline's death April 22, Montgomery County police said.
Officers found Cline suffering from multiple gunshot wounds on the 19500 block of Gunners Branch Road around 10:50 p.m., where he was pronounced dead despite lifesaving measures, police said.

Man Fires Gun In Armed Robbery At 7-Eleven In Silver Spring: Police
A man fired a gun during an armed robbery at a 7-Eleven in Montgomery County, according to police.
An unidentified male pointed the gun at clerks of the convenience store located in the 7900 block of Georgia Avenue in Silver Spring, demanded the key to the register, and fired a shot at the wall, Montgomery County Police said. The clerks then opened two registers and the suspect hopped the counter, took an undisclosed amount of money, then fled.
