Helicopter Crashes In Maryland Resident's Backyard A helicopter crashed in a Maryland resident's yard over the weekend. The aircraft went down at approximately 10:30 a.m. Sunday, July 9, in a yard on the 9100 block of Maytisde Street. According to NBC Washington, the helicopter was being used to survey power lines. A 911 caller said that the helicopter landed in her backyard. When firefighters arrived at the scene, sure enough, the small helicopter had made an emergency landing.
