Arrests Made After 'Suspicious Package' Found At Pine Grove Middle School Evacuated Students
Baltimore County Police have arrested two suspects after a suspicious package found at Pine Grove Middle School caused the middle school and nearby elementary school to evacuate, authorities say. Police arrested the first suspect at 11:30 a.m., Tuesday, Sept. 20, around the same time the package was found near the middle school, according to Baltimore County Police. Hundreds in Maryland were displaced on Tuesday afternoon when workers in Hagerstown accidentally struck a six-inch gas line that forced the evacuation of an area elementary school. City officials in Hagerstown said that the “major” gas leak was struck by workers in the area of South Potomac Street and West Memorial Boulevard late in the afternoon on Tuesday, Sept. 6, leaving an estimated 1,000 people temporarily displaced. Buildings Evacuated After Threat Reported At Carroll Community College In Maryland
A community college campus in Maryland has been evacuated and shut down to allow police to investigate a reported threat. The Carroll County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a threat at Carroll Community College, the agency reported at approximately 1 p.m. on Friday, July 8. Officials said that the buildings have been evacuated and the investigation is underway. No threats have been confirmed as of 1:15 p.m. on July 8, they said. 7 Displaced By Frederick Fire
Dozens of firefighters assisted in a large residential fire in Frederick that displaced multiple people, authorities say. The three-story building caught fire around 10:45 p.m. on the 200 block of W Patrick Street, Wednesday, June 15, according to the Frederick County Fire Department. Crews immediately began assisting the residents out of the building as it filled with smoke. 100+ Displaced In Bowie Nursing Home Fire
More than 100 residents were displaced after an alleged explosion at a nursing home in Bowie, authorities say. Initial reports of an explosion at the facility on the 15000 block of Health Center Drive came in at 3:42 a.m., Tuesday, June 14, according to the Prince George's Fire Department.
