One person had to be airlifted to the hospital after a shooting in Maryland led to lockdowns at several Prince George's County schools. On Monday afternoon, officials confirmed that a person was shot in Greenbelt, prompting a temporary lockdown at Greenbelt Middle and Elementary School, as well as the Dora Kennedy French Immersion School. Man Accused Of Murdering Missing Maryland Teacher, Police Say
Police say that they have arrested a man who is accused of killing a beloved Prince George’s County teacher who was reported missing from Greenbelt in late July. Harold Francis Landon III, of University Park, has been arrested in connection to the murder of 59-year-old Mariame Sylla, a third grade teacher at the Dora Kennedy French Immersion School. The 33-year-old London was charged with murder. Disappearance Of MD Teacher Mariame Toure Sylla Sparks Massive Search
Police in Prince George's County are looking for public school teacher Mariame Toure Sylla, who disappeared over the weekend. A third grade teacher at Dora Kennedy French Immersion School, Sylla was last seen Saturday evening, July 29, on the 6500 block of Lake Park Drive, in Greenbelt. Schrom Hills Park was closed for several hours on Tuesday, Aug. 1 amid the search for Sylla.
