Gas Explosion Rocks Southeast DC; Building Collapses (Updated) DC Fire and EMS personnel were busy on Thursday morning due to an active gas leak and explosion in Southeast. An alert was issued at around 10 a.m. on Jan. 18 after there was a reported gas explosion in the 1200 block of Marion Barry Avenue SE on the second floor. According to officials, by the time crews arrived to fight the fire, the area had already been evacuated due to the gas leak. One injury was reportedly wounded by flying debris. Baltimore Parking Garage Collapses With Dozens Of Vehicles Inside A parking garage in Baltimore has collapsed with over 50 vehicles inside, authorities say. The Pratt Street parking garage collapsed around 10:45 a.m., Friday, July 15, according to the Baltimore Fire Department. Miraculously, no injuries have been reported in the incident. Building inspectors are working with vehicle owners to remove the remaining vehicles from the garage.  The incident will be handled by building management S&P Plus.  This is a developing story.
