A man is dead after being shot by police while he was reportedly assaulting a woman with a knife in Baltimore, authorities say. Detectives say Tyree Moorehead, 46, was armed with a knife on top of the woman in the intersection of N. Fulton and W. Lafayette Avenues around 3:30 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 6, according to Baltimore police. Officers arrived on scene and verbally commanded Moorehead to get on the ground, where he got on top of the woman. Officers from the Baltimore Police Department were called at approximately 12:14 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 4 to the 2700 block of Ellicott Driveway for a report of an unresponsive baby.
