With several inches of snow expected to coat the area, some schools in Maryland are already making preparations to ensure the safety of students and staff. The worst of the snow is expected to hit the area beginning at around 6 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 19, and lasting throughout the day, prompting schools to begin announcing closures and delays on Thursday night. Arrests Made After 'Suspicious Package' Found At Pine Grove Middle School Evacuated Students
Baltimore County Police have arrested two suspects after a suspicious package found at Pine Grove Middle School caused the middle school and nearby elementary school to evacuate, authorities say. Police arrested the first suspect at 11:30 a.m., Tuesday, Sept. 20, around the same time the package was found near the middle school, according to Baltimore County Police. During the evacuation of the school, officers made a second arrest in the 1600 block of Whitehead Court. Detectives believe that there are no additional suspects at this time. Dead Baltimore County Music Teacher Was Recording People Without Their Knowledge: Police
Numerous of recordings taken of people without their knowledge were recovered from the home of a deceased Baltimore County music instructor, authorities said. Scott Tiemann, 46, taught music lessons at several schools in the area as well as at his Pikesville home up until his death, Baltimore County Police said. Tiemann was to have died by suicide, Fox Baltimore reports. Police did not reveal exactly if the recordings were of Tiemann's students, how many there were or detailed their content.
