With her long, golden locks, 60-year-old Joan Vassos, of Rockville, is among the 22 women competing on a new "The Bachelor" concept, premiering on Thursday, Sept. 28, on ABC.
According to her LinkedIn page, Vassos works in alumni relations and annual giving at the Landon School, a prep school for boys in Bethesda.

A University of Maryland student is among dozens of "Jeopardy!" competitors returning as college students.
Dan Oxman, a senior Terp studying chemical engineering, will compete on the March 1 round of the "Jeopardy! High School Reunion Tournament," on ABC.
Hosted by Mayim Bialik, the tournament premiered Monday, Feb. 20 and features contestants who were on the "Teen Tournament."
Oxman, a South Orange, NJ, native, won $5,000 in the quarterfinals of the 2018 "Teen Tournament."

An attorney from Virginia has secured his spot in the latest “Jeopardy!” Tournament of Champions, where he will match wits with some of the game show's greatest players of recent years.
Zach Newkirk, an attorney from Alexandria, will be back on the big blue "Jeopardy!" stage for the Tournament of Champions, which kicks off its first quarterfinal matchup on Monday, Oct. 31.
