The teens were caught after officers witnessed two of the suspects running from an attempted carjacking in the 1900 block of County Road on the afternoon of Sunday, April 2, Prince George's County Police say.
Officers were able to arrest the pair, who were identified as a 17-year-old boy from Temple Hills and a 16-year-old boy from Fort Washington. Each teen was carrying a ghost gun at the time of the arrest.
Earlier in the week on Thursday, March 30, police located a vehicle in the area of Addison Road and Central Avenue that had been reported stolen three days prior.
Officers stopped the vehicle and arrested the four teens inside, all identified as 15-year-old boys from Washington, DC. A loaded ghost gun was also seized from the vehicle.
At least 32 minors have been charged in carjacking cases in the area since the start of 2023.
