Witnesses Sought In Crash Killing MD Dancer, 20, As Suspect Flees Scene: PA State Police

Pennsylvania State Police have identified the driver of a white SUV who witnessed the crash that killed 20-year-old Maryland dancer Amelia McEvoy, troopers announced on Saturday, Jan. 25.

However, investigators are still looking to identify the vehicle that was being passed by the suspect vehicle at the time of the crash, PSP York announced on Tuesday, Jan. 24.

The crash happened on the Susquehanna Trail South in Springfield Township, York County on Friday, Jan. 17, at 9:12 p.m., as Daily Voice previously reported.

McEvoy was the front-seat passenger in a blue Chevrolet Tracker that swerved off the road and struck a tree while attempting to avoid a head-on collision with a northbound vehicle driving recklessly. The suspect vehicle fled the scene.

Anyone who was traveling in the area of Susquehanna Trail South in Springfield and Shrewsbury Townships between 8:30 and 9:12 p.m. on Jan. 17, or has information about the suspect vehicle, is urged to contact PSP York at 717-428-1011.
