A harrowing Christmas Day assault in Charles County will land a 56-year-old man who terrorized his soon-to-be ex behind bars for several years, authorities announced. Waldorf resident Joseph John Bonaiuto was sentenced by a judge to eight years in prison after physically, mentally, and sexually abusing his significant other for hours, according to the state's attorney's office.
