Maryland Man Charged With Attempted Murder Following Call For Shots Fired Outside Mart: Police
A stranger who fired shots at a driver who struck two women with a vehicle outside a Washington County business is facing serious charges, the Hagerstown Police Department announced. On Tuesday morning, officers were called to the 7 Mini Mart on West Franklin Street to investigate reports of shots fired after the women were hit by the car. Police say that after they were struck, Hagerstown resident John Michael Matthews-Hackett, 20, took out a handgun and fired a shot toward the driver of a Toyota Camry, which fled the scene while the shooter left the area on foot.
