There will be a lengthy closure and detour on a busy roadway for several weeks in Harford County beginning on Sunday night. The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration announced a temporary 24-hour closure and detour of the right-turn from northbound MD 24 (Vietnam Veterans Memorial Highway) to eastbound Singer Road beginning at 6 p.m. on June 9. The afternoon commute may be rough for some travelers in Harford County as crews continue working around the clock to repair a water main break in Abingdon. On Monday morning, businesses and motorists were affected by the water main break, which proved tricky to plug, leaving some without water in the area of Tollgate Road and Constant Friendship Boulevard.
