Security Tags Still Attached: $500K Retail Theft Ring Busted In Maryland, Police Say
More than $500,000 in merchandise. More than 100 businesses. Six suspects in custody. And Maryland investigators say they aren't finished yet.
The sprawling organized retail theft investigation began in Prince George's County in February 2025 before eventually stretching across Maryland, Virginia, Pennsylvania, Delaware, and Washington, DC, according to local police.
Six suspects are now in custody, police announced on Tuesday, Aug. 11:
