A wedding ring stolen from a recently deceased veteran in Hampden County has been returned to the man's family after a Massachusetts State Trooper tracked it to a pawn shop. A nursing assistant who'd helped care for the man admitted to taking the ring and selling it, authorities said. A Florida man was far from home when he decided to steal the safe from a car dealership in Berkshire County, authorities said. Joseph Demary, 48, of St. Petersburg, Florida, was busted on Monday, Feb. 5, after police said he re-enacted the plot of a heist film by taking the safe out of the Nissan of Pittsfield dealership a day before. A Springfield man could spend more than two decades behind bars for the 2021 armed robbery of a convenience store, authorities said. The large menorah has been stolen from the city’s downtown. On Wednesday, Dec. 16, at around 11:30 a.m., police said that the menorah set up at the Kelley Square rotary in Worcester has been stolen. The incident is under investigation, Worcester Police said. The menorah is a Jewish symbol of the Hanukka holiday.
