Man From Region Pulls Out Gun During Soccer Game, Police Say A man has been arrested after allegedly pulling a gun at a crowded Fairfield County park following a dispute at a soccer game. The incident took place in Stamford around 9:15 p.m., on Saturday, Aug. 13 at Lione Park on the city's West Side. Stamford Police Capt. Richard Conklin said officers responded to the "very crowded" park on a report that a man had pulled a gun following an argument at one of two large organized soccer games taking place. Three Shot, One Fatally, During Gathering Of Car Enthusiasts In Connecticut A 19-year-old Fairfield County resident was shot in the chest and killed during a get-together of car enthusiasts in the parking lot of an area raceway. The incident took place around 10:45 p.m., Sunday, April 18, in the parking lot of the RPM Raceway at 600 West Ave., in Stamford, said Stamford Police Lt. Tom Scanlon.
