Man, 65, Killed Crossing Holyoke Street A 65-year-old man was killed after being hit by a car as he crossed the road in Hampden County earlier this week.  The Holyoke man was crossing near the intersection of South Street and Charles Street around 6 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 11, authorities said.  Paramedics rushed him to Baystate Medical Center, where he died of his injuries.  The driver who hit him remained on the scene and called 911. Duo Nabbed After Allegedly Showing Gun During Road-Rage Incident In Region Two Western Massachusetts men were arrested following a road-rage incident in which the two allegedly showed a gun. The incident took place around 10:20 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 9, in Hampden County when Holyoke Police officers responded to a report of road rage involving two area men in a silver Infiniti who reportedly showed a gun during the altercation. When police responded to the area they spotted a car matching the description and attempted to stop it on Westerfield Road, but the driver sped away, police said.
