$100K Lottery Ticket Sold In Rutland Two $100,000 winning lottery tickets were turned in on Monday, March 4, from Worcester and Hampshire counties.  The first was from Belchertown, where the six-figure payday was bought at Town Mart at 10 Federal St. The winning ticket was from the $30 "Millions" scratch-off game.  The second was purchased at Saveway Convenience in Rutland at 249 Main St. The winning ticket was a "$300X" $30 scratch-off ticket.  The stores where the tickets were bought will receive a bonus.  The Massachusetts State Lottery did not release their names. Finnerty, 47, of Rutland, was indicted Thursday, Aug. 31, on two counts of filing a false report, according to the US Attorney's Office for Massachusetts. Family Dog Killed In Barre Blaze; Fire Under Investigation A fire in Worcester County earlier this week nearly destroyed a home and killed a family dog, authorities said.  Fire crews responded to the blaze just before 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 26, at 1075 Dana Road in Barre after a neighbor saw smoke pouring from the home's second floor and called 911, the Barre Fire Department said.  Firefighters burst through the front door and were met by "heavy fire," the report said.
